Sick Bug

Geoff and I were gearing up to try out a little “sleep training” this weekend, but June threw us a curve ball and was sick.  She wasn’t wanting to sleep, was fussy and had a cough, so she got to sleep next to mama all weekend. On Saturday she had a fever and was really tired and just not herself.  It was sad, she wouldn’t even break a smile, didn’t even want to hold her head up and wasn’t interested in eating at all.  She was not so good.  We rode out the weekend and went to the pediatrician yesterday.  She has RSV and apparently Colorado has a large number of cases this year. It’s interesting that one of the risk factors for RSV is simply attending day care. RSV can be mild, like an extended cold, but it can also get pretty severe, so we just have to keep an eye on her.  She is starting to do better and was even flashing some smiles at us this morning, which is always a good sign.  I think it’s partially because she was rockin’ a little homage to the 80s in this outfit today:

 Sleep schmleep.
