Dear Juney,
At 5 months you’ve certainly started to show some personality. You sure love to smile and throw us some giggles. We love to see your gums with your big smile too. At 5 months you:
- Like to be tickled – at daycare when Ms. Barbara tickles you, you give a girly light giggle that makes me laugh
- Love to look at yourself in the mirror
- Stand on papa’s belly in the morning in bed and smile at him
- Love it when mama and papa sing or dance for you
- Smile at Charli (and he smiles back)
- Made it through your first and second sickness (RSV and stomach flu); both times we were so happy you had some extra weight on to keep you healthy (and cute!)
- Love to snuggle in bed with mama and papa
- Are quite a chatterbox and talk to us all the time
- Still have the bald spot that is slowing going away and are starting to get some darker eyebrows
- Can sit up if you don’t have cloth diapers on
- Really like the new carrier mama got – and so does she
- Love to stand, and have strong legs
- Watch mama as she leaves when she drops you off at daycare, and she still cries when she gets out of sight
- Claw our faces in bed when you wake up and play with out lips
- Try to pet Jaguar in bed…so far without getting bit
- Are extremely flexible and could easily get your feet behind your head
- Still love naked time and love to grab your feet
- Are sleeping in 3ish-hour chunks, and hopefully will extend that soon
- Bury your face and head into us to snuggle in…just like mama loves to do too
- And when we haven’t seen each other in a while we both go face-to-face and rub faces and noses to each other…I miss it and think of it all the time when I’m away from you
We love you so much Junebug, and we tell you everyday so you always know.
