A few updates from our house….
June likes chocolate cookies.
Geoff and I went on a short vacation tacked on to a work trip. We enjoyed the delicious food, wine, sleep and together time in Napa. June spent some wonderful quality time with Grammy and Gramps. They filled their days with many walks, restaurants, and all kinds of Junebug love. We are so grateful for their time together and to be able to leave Juney such loving hands.
June is very busy. She learns new “tricks” all the time and is very eager to share them. She has about 8 teeth (maybe working on some more), is drinking pretty well from a sippy cup and straw, and crawls like she means business. June also is standing on her own, but still isn’t ready to take a step. She will slowly stand with her hands out to balance and when she’s steady she will start clapping so proud of herself! (We’re trying to get quicker on the video.). She is still trying to negotiate the stairs, but was our little Eva Peron sitting/standing at the top of the stairs looking out to me and the animals on the deck and chattered and sang to us for over 12 minutes straight, complete with arm gestures and dramatics. (I was laughing so hard, I had tears running down my face.)
She also has a fun walker she borrowed from Paul that she motors around with…of course wearing a tutu.

We went to a special party at my hair salon and June was a big hit. She obviously loved the big mirrors all over too.
June is slowly weaning from nursing, but still wants to be close to mama. I love it, and other times it’s hard. I’m enjoying it and soaking in all of the snuggles while I can, so they hold me through her teenage years! We’ve been using a fabulous carrier a lot lately that has helped enable me to do things with both hands.
June will be moving rooms at day care soon too. They are planning to transition her to the “older infants” in October. Her teacher thinks she is really ready, and she looks like a giant in her current room.
One year update only a few weeks away!!
PS. She also may have gotten her first pair of yoga pants today. π
