Talky McChatterson

Can you tell I’ve got a little computer time this morning? 🙂

June is exploding with her vocabulary and continuing to say things that make us chuckle. In an attempt to capture these, here are some lines and incidents that made us smile.

1. We’ve been explaining and talking a lot with June about babies and how everything is going to happen with the new baby.  She is very interested and asks a lot of good questions.  She also will at completely random times drop some facts on us.  Like on the way to school the other day she told me that my baby is going to drink out of my nipple.  When Geoff was taking her to school last week, as they were walking to the car she says, “Only mamas and girls have vaginas.”  Geoff replies, “You are correct.”

2. Our school news letter said this week that they were exploring the world and starting with the continents.  They are going to go more in-depth with each, starting with North America.  I asked June on the way home Friday if they are learning about continents. Her response, “Papa and I live in ‘Merica. With Uncle John.”

3. Lilly, Ian and crew came over for dinner Friday night and Lilly and June were drawing on the chalkboard wall.  June said, “Look at my gorgeous castle!”  We were really impressed that she used the word gorgeous.  She said, “Come see! It has stripes!”  Here it is:

4. Lilly and June then had a “dance party” in her room with her light-up star turtle. It was pretty cute when June ran out to get her play birthday cake for the party. Obviously, it’s not a “party” without a birthday cake!  My heart melted with the innocence.

5. This morning June was putting a puzzle together with me and passed gas quite loudly.  We both laughed and I asked if that was her.  She said, “No.  That was CJ!”  🙂
