Brave June (video)

We went to the last farmers market of the season today, complete with DJ, pumpkin patch, and giant blow up human hamster wheel.  Much to Juney’s dismay, the kettle corn people were not present.

Upon arrival June immediately spotted the older kids going into the giant ball and was fascinated.  We had to stay out of the way and watched for a while.  We ran into Paul and Jack so there was cuteness abound.  We also ran into more friends and got to say hi to Bates and Hudson – what a fun day!  After we all went our separate ways, we got some veggies and June wanted to go back to the “ball.”

There was a long line of kiddos wanting to go in, and Juney said she wanted to try.  I told her we’d have to wait her turn so we sat along the side in line and scooted down one by one until it was our turn.  It was about a 30-40 minute wait and she talked with me and watched and was so good – it made mama so proud.

I was thinking that we’d get up to the ball and she would get scared (what happened with the pony ride before). This thing was huge – much larger than the pictures show.  (I could have easily stood inside of it.)  Most kids -about 6-10 years old I would say – ran inside and got bounced around as the handlers guided down the hill.  I thought she would get inside and treat it like a bouncy house.

When it was our turn she went over and it was game on.  She was all about it!  Not only did we roll down the hill, but she said “Again?!” when we got done!

This was the girl right before us (8-9 years old).
